Re:Why doesn't it find the taglibrary?

Well. Tool is designed to help you properly configure your project for ICEfaces support. For netbeans, configuring web.xml is one thing the tool provides. The other parts are setup classpath for ICEfaces libraries, component drag&drop.

It looks to me that your problem is about icefaces jar fies are not in classpath. That is just my guess.

It doesn't seem to be a netbeans project structure from the classes.png. Yes you have got all required jar files but are they in your project's classpath?

Re:Internal error occurred during installation.

I need more detail error message, which you may be able to find in {workspace}/.metadata/.log

There are 2 ways to install ICEfaces plugins:
1. use update site as posted in http://www.icefaces.org/JForum/posts/list/20511.page
assuming you know how to use update site.

2 if you cannot use update site due to some specific reason, you can also download icefaces 3.0.0 plugins for eclipse from icesoft.org. Check included guide.pdf for detail info.

Re:Icefaces 3 problem with integration in Eclipse 3.7

The plateform I tried was XP Professional, version 2002, Service Pack 3. It is 32 bits one with JDK 1.6.0.

Is it the same as yours? We do want to replicate this issue as it could affect a lot of users. From 2.0.2 to 3.0.0 there are some changes mainly for ICEmobile support, which involve some more boolean operations. I am sure the cause of the issue won't be obvious.

Thanks

Re:Icefaces 3 problem with integration in Eclipse 3.7

Since I couldn't reproduce this issue, I asked you try almost everything I could think of, such as eclipse -clean; check existance of plugins, create a new workspace, etc.

Thanks for the log file and it doesn't show any related error. By the way it does show an error related to ICEfaces design time support regarding menuitem, which will be fixed in next release.

For now what I can suggest you is to check the physical existance of icefaces library plugins: There should be directories (not jar/zip) under (your eclipse home)/plugins/org.icefaces.eclipse.library.oss.component.[a/i]ce_3.0.0.201202031348

If they exist, what I would suggest is to install a new eclipse-jee 3.7.1 by downloading and unzip eclipse jee 3.7.1. With the newly installed eclipse, create a new workspace and install ICEfaces plugins to see if the problem is resolved.

Re:Icefaces 3 problem with integration in Eclipse 3.7

Could you please try
1. manually start eclipse with clean option by eclipse -clean
2. start Eclipse on a new workspace
to see if the issue is resolved.

Or try following more comprehensive steps (with steps I advised before):
1. Uninstall all ICEfaces plugins:
Click Help->About Eclipse (SDK) ->Installation Details ->Installed Software
Select all from ICEsoft Technologies and click Uninstall...

2. restart eclipse and click Help->About Eclipse (SDK) ->Installation Details ->Installed Software to check if all ICEfaces plugins are removed.

3. exit eclipse and manually start eclipse with clean option by eclipse -clean on a new workspace

4. install ICEfaces tool bundle by adding update site
http://res.icesoft.org/eclipse-update/3.7/icefaces/

5. Select all 4 features and click finish

6. restart Eclipse and check if all icefaces features are installed
Check features:
Help->About Eclipse (SDK) ->Installation Details ->Installed Software
All 4 features name and version should be exactly as the screenshoot attached "ICEfaces3".
Check plugins:
Click Plug-ins and see if all ICEfaces plugins are installed as shown in attachment "ICEfaces3 eclipse plugins"

7. check if your problem still exists.

If you still experience the same issue after trying above steps, Please send me your log file (located at your workspace/.metadata/.log) throught ICEsoft support channel.
